How to Budget Series: Part 5 – Pulling it all Together

Now that we’ve completed the Budgeting Series, let’s pull it all together on what we have worked hard to achieve.  By this time we all have a good start on our monthly outflow, income, priorities for extra income, and how it all works together given your cash flow.  You now have the foundation built and you are ready to implement.  It is best if you stick to your budget for a couple months then re-assess if anything needs to change.  It’s common to miss some things on your first couple of rounds so feel free to edit right away if you know there is something missing.  You should be meeting with your spouse to discuss the budget itself and also holding each other accountable to achieve your goals.  Starting with the end in mind, you are on the way to financial independence because you have the foundation in place.  Stick with it and you will most likely achieve your goals quicker than you think!
